On the Passion for Promarkers blog this week their challenge is to alter something that is not square. I ruled it out as I'm basically a card maker and haven't dabbled in the world of altering other than a canvas I made at a class. However, after visiting some of the desks on WOYWW? this week and seeing all the lovely altering projects going on there, the idea of attempting something began to grow on me. I had lots of pieces of backing paper left over from a card I'd made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and even a spare coloured image so when I saw notebooks for sale in Tesco for 50p I was won over and altered the notebook to match the card. I really enjoyed this project and used up lots of little bits of ribbon from the "just in case box". I only needed to cut one extra piece. Details of other materials used are listed in the previous post. I've got a crafting friend who loves cats so this will be set aside for her birthday as I know she'll appreciate it.
I've been back to Tesco this morning and bought four more notebooks to alter and even a pack of white luggage tags. I think I've been bitten by the bug. There's a little decoration on the back too and what the sticker says on the notebook is true, it is good quality paper inside.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges
