The previous two posts were about cards I'd made for a local couple who had celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Below is the card I made for us to give them which is cased from a Golden Wedding Anniversary card made for an auntie and uncle last year.
The patterned papers for this card were printed from the Nitwit Collection Snow Princess solids selection. The rolled roses and leaves were die cut and punched from a sheet of card which had been printed on each side with the two shades of patterned paper. Matt and pearlescent coloured card in matching tones and linen embossed silver card were used to make up the other layers of the card.
The pearlescent backing card for the rose circle was pricked using an Ornare stencil and diamond self adhesive gems were added to the corners of the pattern. The smaller paper roses and rose buds were originally white ones from my stash and Promarker pens were used to colour them. The mulberry paper roses soak up the ink from the pen quite easily when you lay the chisel tip against the head.
The sentiment was printed from the computer and die cut using spellbinders plain and scalloped circle dies.
The card was layered to make two tiers using foam pads between the tiers. Ribbon was wrapped around two of the corners on the bottom tier and a bow was added to the top tier.
Hope you all have a good Bank Holiday weekend and thanks for reading today.
