Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 205 - Red, White and Blue

This is my entry to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week which is Red, White and Blue.  For this one I used the Penny Black rubber stamp Aspire and stamped it several times with Stampin' up Riding Hood Red and Versafine Majestic Blue ink.  The images were overlapped and stamped two or three times before re-inking.

The striped background was made using the Hero Arts Large Canvas Stripe stamp and Majestic Blue ink. To add some texture the red card underneath was embossed along the edge using a Stampin' up embossing folder.

Birthday wishes was stamped using a stamp from the Stampin' up set Sincere Salutations and die cut using a die from the Nestabilities Labels 4 set.  For embellishments Real Red grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' up was used along with a few peel of dots and red self adhesive gems.
