Teddy Bear First Birthday

This is a card I made for a little fellow's first birthday back in November.  Harvey's Mum often shares photos of his antics on Facebook and when you see his little face you can't help but smile back at the screen as he is usually beaming and has a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

The Penny Black stamp used for the topper is called Balloon Teddy and after being coloured with Promarkers it was framed using circle nestabilities and a number one cut from green glitter card using a Quickutz die was added to the balloon.  The corners were also cut using a Quickutz die.  The heart banner was die cut and layered using a La-La Land die with green hearts cut from glitter card added to the top layer.

The patterned papers used were from the Cuddly Buddly download a Patchwork of Papers Blue and a stitched border was added on top of the papers.  The hearts in the corner were waste from the die cut banner.

The base of the easel card was layered up as the front of the card and a verse and sentiment created on the computer and then die cut using Spellbinders labels four dies were added.  The stops for the easel front were layered up circles attached using foam pads and then green hearts from the die cut waste of the banner die were added on top.  Extra embellishments were bows made from the Stampin' up Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon and green self adhesive pearls from Hobbycraft.

The back of the card was decorated using similar layers and embellishments as the rest of the card along with a message from us.

This is a recent picture of Harvey and his mummy where he's showing off his camera smile.

This is a collection of photos his mum shared just before his birthday.
