Yesterday's
post was about an origami box where the base was made with one sheet of 12"x 12" paper and
a matching card. Although the box only took one sheet another sheet in
the same design was used to cut layers for decorating the box and card. After making those there were still some bits over so they were used to cut flowers and
matting layers for this card which was for a sister-in-law's birthday.
The flowers are layered on to squares cut using Spellbinders scalloped and plain squares with thread wrapped around the corners to add an extra frame. This thread was also used to add a stitched border to the layer behind.
The sentiment was stamped using a Stampin' up stamp and their Rich Razzleberry ink and then punched and layered using their plain and scalloped oval punches. A bow using Rich Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon was added above.
