This is my entry to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week where the theme is Christmas with the inspiration of snowflakes/snow & silver. This is my 100th post since starting blogging in May and it is so apt that it should be a Penny Black Saturday Challenge entry as this was the first challenge blog I took part in and from there have entered a variety of challenges. Haven't missed a PBSC since although it has been a close call sometimes. Thank you to all the design team members who have taken the time to comment on my entries and to all of you who have joined as followers or have stopped past and left encouraging comments and advice. It has all helped to expand my crafting knowledge and enjoyment.
For this challenge I used the Penny Black stamp "Thinking of You" and have coloured it with Promarkers.
To follow the snowflake theme I used snowflake holographic card and the silver mirricard was embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. The snowflake embellishments were made using Spellbinders Create a Flake 1 dies. After cutting and embossing the snowflake pieces I rubbed over them with Encore silver metallic ink, whilst they were still in the die, and later glittered some of the coloured parts. The main image, the sentiment and their mats were also cut using nestabilities dies and the edges glittered with Stampin up dazzling diamonds glitter. The sentiment was created on the computer.
To follow the silver theme I used silver mirricard and silver holographic card. Silver ink was sponged around the mats and the scalloped edges of the card. Silver brads and crystal dot peeloffs were also added.
The layout for this card was inspired by Erika's sketch at the Sugar Bowl Challenge.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges
