It's Sprocket again

 

 

Here's a blue Sprocket the Steampunk Aviator from Staurated Canary coloured using Promarkers and is the result of what was on my table yesterday (WOYWW?).  Whilst watching Strictly Come Dancing and the X Factor on Saturday night I had one eye on the television and the other colouring in Sprocket digi images in colourways to co-ordinate with printed papers which were left over from other projects.  I had a few pieces of different blue papers so that's what determined how this one was to be coloured.  

The striped paper was a free download from Fred She Said and the spotted paper was from the CD Seraphina and Friends.  Using these papers meant that this card could be entered in the challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs which is Sopts and Stripes.  I'm hoping it also fits the Saturataed Canary Challenge of 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments ( Brads, Cogs and Ribbon).

The layout for this one came from the challenge on Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

I've tried to include the Steampunk theme by using quickutz cog diecuts and behind Sprocket the card has been embossed with the Clockworks Cuttlebug embossing folder and then Encore blue metallic ink rubbed over it unevenly to give it a slightly grungy effect as well as highlighting the embossing.  Glitter was added to Sprocket's trousers and some cogs were cut from glitterboard so that this card could be enterd in the I Love Promarkers challenge this week which is Glitter and Glitz.  I'm hoping the silver holographic card will qualify as glitz.  I'd forgotten how difficult it is to photograph this type of card.

I've bought a few more of the images form Saturated Canary so will have to print them out in preparation for next weekend.
