Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 175 - Sketch

 


This is my entry to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week where we had a sketch to work from.  I chose the Penny Black stamp You Are the Bestest for this one and coloured it with Promarkers.


I carried on the pink theme with the backing card and background papers.  The gingham and Happy Birthday paper came from a Cuddly Buddly download A Patchwork of Papers Pink and the pale pink card, ribbon and ink were from Stampin' up's Pretty In Pink range.  I also used Stampin' up Certainly Celery card for the leaves.  The decorative edge on the dark pink card was made using the Eyelet Lace Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set.  The topper and backing layers were cut using nestabilities dies.

To make the flower embellishments I used Tim Holtz's Tattered Floral die and a small flower X-cut punch.  The leaves were cut using a Quickutz die.  To add a little glitz and sparkle I used pink glitterboard, sequins, beads, self adhesive pearls and crystal dot peeloffs.
