This is my entry for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week where "touchy feely " was the guideline. Lots of different textures to be used for this one. I've managed to include embossing using a daisy embossing folder for the background and the flowers were made using smooth card, satin ribbon and funky foam cut using Tim Holtz's tattered floral die to which I added different sequins, beads and glitter. A satin ribbon bow was added to the top and wrapped around two of the corners.
The main image is from the Penny Black Margaret Sherry Collection and is called Squeeze 'til I Squeak. The image was stamped twice using Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured using Promarkers. One of the images was cut out using a circle nestabilities die and pieces cut from the other to decoupage the main image. Whilst the glitters were out I couldn't help but glitter the daisy centre too. The greenery was made using a leaf Quickutz die.
This card was inspired by the gift bag I decorated at our craft group meeting last weekend as I fancied making a card to match. I haven't attached a sentiment to the card so that I can use the card and bag for a birthday, anniversary, get well or a just because card and gift. Here's a picture of both the card and bag.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges
