WOYWW?

This is my picture for WOYWW? this week and it's got a little smattering of Christmas in it.  I have yet to get into the full swing of putting cards together for Christmas but do have quite a few toppers made.  I just need to decide on the backgrounds and embellishments.  These coloured images were made from the Sugar Nellie stamp Warm Winter Wishes.  I was recently lucky enough to visit the Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin, which is the home of Sugar Nellie, and saw this stamp being demonstrated by Jenny.  Check out this finished card she had on display.  I couldn't resist it and picked up the last one that day.  It was obviously meant to be.

Whilst checking out the Sugar Bowl challenge last week I noticed that the latest challenge was a sketch by Erika with a theme suggestion of patchwork.  I remembered I had a downloaded Christmas patchwork backing paper from Cuddly Buddly and decided I'd use it and then colour these cute little chaps to match the paper.  Unfortunately it appears that this download is no longer available.

I've got a bit carried away and have coloured a few more of these to make toppers for some more cards.  They are lovely to colour and could be adapted to any colour scheme by changing the colours on the scarf.  Here's another colour variation by Jenny and this lovely card by Dawn was entered into a recent Sugar Bowl challenge

All I'm lacking now is some glitter and I've hunted out some of those chalk pompom applicators for the hat bauble and along with a few snowflakes, and my usual must have bow, then we're sorted.

Thanks for popping past this week.

  2. Cute cute stamp! It's a great useful sketch too - so the two will make a lovely load of cards. And I say load because of course, you've done loads of toppers...sign of a great stamp for me, when I don't want to stop using it!
