Two birthdays today and also my second posting. I was asked to make this card for my friend's grandaughter by her Mum. When we first moved in to this street, twenty-two years ago, Aileen was the first neighbour who popped along to say hello bringing a bunch of flowers with her. I've known Sarah, Aileen's daughter, since she was about eight years old so it was an honour when she asked if I would make a card for her own daughter's thirteenth birthday especially as, at the age of thirty, Sarah still refers to me as Auntie Liz and now her children do too. Sarah was a young first time Mum but has done ever so well in bringing up two lovely children, Rhiannon and Rhys, who are a credit to their Mum and Dad.
When Sarah asked me to make the card her brief was that Rhiannon liked the colour pink, make-up handbags bling and generally anything girly. I'd made a card similar to this one for my niece last month and decided to copy it but personalise it especially for Rhiannon. I've had a message this morning to say that it's gone down a treat.
The main image of the card is the Penny Black stamp Primp it Up and it's coloured using Promarkers. Lots of Quickutz dies were used on this one too, lips, make-up, handbag, comb and tag. A great chance to use lots of glittercard and bling.
Top Tip Tuesday - To make the die cut make up applicators more authentic looking I chalked the endswith colours to match thethose in the palette.
Pictured below is the Fizzy Moon card we gave Rhiannon (details in this post) along with the requested one from her Mum and Dad.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges
