Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 166 - Sketch

This week we had this sketch to follow for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge

 

and this is my interpretation of the sketch.


I've used the same Penny Black image, Bountiful (4065K), and colour scheme for this weeks challenge as I did last week. After completing last week's challenge I had enough bits and pieces left over to make another card and even  the coloured image for this second card was my first attempt at colouring the image last week.  The Promarkers used were warm peachy shades of pink rather than the cool lilac shades of the backing card I had wanted to use and they didn't work together.  This week I worked the other way around and found cardstock to match the coloured image.  Here's a photo of the two cards together to show the different tones of pink.  I have to part with the eighteenth birthday card today as it's Rachel's birthday on Sunday.


The spotted and striped backing papers are from Kanban and the Happy Birthday paper is from a Cuddly Buddly download - A Patchwork of Papers Pink.  The sentiment was made using a Hero Arts stamp and the ribbon and inks used are from Stampin' up.  The large flowers and daisies were made with a selection of punches and dies and once again I've gone a bit over the top with them.  I don't think those chocolate roses from Wild Orchid Crafts are going to last very long at this rate.  Here's a closer look at the main corner.
