Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 170 - Monochromatic

 


This is my entry for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week where the theme set was monochromatic.  The main image on this one is the Penny Black stamp "Squeeze 'til I Squeak" and is coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped and coloured the image twice and decoupaged the daisy head and mice.  Glitter was added to the daisy centre to add a little bling.

The layout for this card was taken from last week's sketch  challenge on Passion for Promarkers and I had hoped to enter that challenge too but ran out of time.


The backing papers for the card came from an 8x8 Papermania pack - Colossal Paper Pack/Vibrant and a Cuddly Buddly download - A Patchwork of Papers - Pink.  The daisy embellishments were made using the small and medium punches from Woodware and the tips were sponged with Pink Pirouette ink from Stampin' up.  This ink was also used to sponge around the main image and the scalloped edged card blank.  Small daisy sequins were added amongst the daisies.  The greeting stamp is also from Stampin' up and was stamped using their Melon Mambo ink.  

The final touches were self adhesive pearls from Bling Bling and the plain pink ribbon from the Fizzy Moon range and in contrast some gingham ribbon.

    Oh WOW!! I don't do a lot of pink but this one has blown me away!
    I totally adore it hun! :0) So sweet and lovely, and CUTE! Love your lay out too. Your colouring is superb and that touch of glitter in the centre of your flower really is the perfect finishing touch.
