This is a good luck card I've made for my friend's son who is about to set off to Reading to start his career after successfully studying Chemical Engineering at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh. I always knew he was heading for higher things when at the age of two he managed to climb over the high wooden fence which surrounded our garden patch. Good luck Iain. We all wish you further success in the future.
Last month it was my hostess month in the Stampin' 10 group and during that month they had a special promotion where sales over a certain amount qualified for a cosmetic bag with ribbon and a small box of clips. I was lucky enough to receive one of those and did wonder what I might use the clips for but two of them have been put to use here. The worded background paper for this card was computer generated and I then decorated it with an ink splatter and a loop tie stamp which I'd bought in a set from QVC some time back.
The embellishments were made using a mixture of Quickutz dies (corner, fasteners, tab and pencil) and Sizzix dies (folder and punched pages). The clipboard was just a rectangular piece of card where the corners were rounded using a punch. The tab I personalised with Iain's name. Here's a closer look at them.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges
