Sugar Bowl Challenge 69

This is my entry to the Sugar Bowl Challenge 69 which is Gayle's Sketch with a photo of Gayle's dream kitchen as inspiration.  My friend's daughter is sixteen next month so I had her in mind when I put this one together.

For the main image I chose the Sugar Nellie stamp Pillow Talk and coloured her with Promarkers.  My Promarker colouring is still in a learning curve and this is the first human style image I've coloured and added to a card.  I can just about cope with hedgehogs and mice so it's now time to move on.

It was thanks to Debbi that I've persevered with Promarkers as she came along to one of our monthly craft meets and gave us a lesson on colouring skin and hair using this image.  I still struggled with the pillow and cheated as I've glittered it instead.  Well a girl needs some bling too.  The striped and spotted backing papers came from the CD Seraphina and Friends and the gingham paper was from a Crafters Companion Papercrafts CD .  The numbers were cut using Sizzix dies and the corners were cut using a Marianne die.  Ribbons, brads, pearls, sequins and beads were from my crafting stash.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges

Thanks for reading
