Three for the Girls

Recently I've done a Three Little Boys and  Three Big Men postings but today it's Three for the Girls.  I've had a sorting out of my purple scraps of card, the bits you save just in case, and cut out as many flowers as I could using Tim Holtz's Tattered Flower die.  These are the cards I made using them and two of the cards went in the post this past week as it was a friend's daughter's birthday on Sunday and it's a friend's Mum's birthday today.  Happy Birthday Gracie.  The other one is earmarked for another friend's daughter next month.

Some of the flowers were embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to add some texture and to add depth the flowers were layered and some have had ink sponged around the edges of the petals.  The same ink was used to sponge around the edge of the scalloped card blank.  From the little bits of card which were too small to make a flower I punched a half inch circle and shaped it on a pricking mat using the Glitter Girls's embossing tool to make the flower centre.  A foam pad was used to attach it to the flower.

The Happy Birthday backing paper came from a Cuddly Buddly download  A Patchwork of Papers - Purple and square nestabilities dies were used to cut the backing pieces.  To add a little bling purple metallic elastic from Hobbycraft was tied around the side and a few hollographic peeloff dots were added here and there.

Off to the Crafting Bee at Carol's today.  I'm hoping to create a bit more than I did last week as I only managed along for a couple of hours.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges

Thanks for reading
