Rock 'n' Roll

This is a card I've made for my friend's son but also with this week's Passion for Promarkers Black and White challenge in mind.  I have a coloured version of this card already made for my brother-in-law's birthday next month on which I used papers from the DCWV The Rockstar Stack.  Whilst making his card I thought some of the papers were ideal for making a black and white themed card.  The challenge gave me the inspiration to have a go and this is the result.

The main image, called Rock Dude, is from KennyKdownloads and is coloured with Promarker's cool grey shades 1-5 plus black. This is the first non "coloured" image I've coloured and used on a card and it wasn't as difficult to do as I feared.  There are some fantastic images on this site and although this is my first purchase it certainly won't be the last as far as male cards are concerned.

This card didn't use a lot of different materials as the papers and main image really said it all.  The stamped sentiment is from Stampin' up's set Sincere Salutations and the button tabs and corners were cut using Quickutz dies.  A few silver star brads and black and grey card from the Papeterie to matt and layer and that was it.  The greeting was printed and attached to the inside panel behind the image.

I did try to find a funny joke or limerick about rock stars to add to the fold back panel behind the image but ended up printing out the lyrics from a Byrds song instead

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges
